The latest addition to the wine scene in Singapore is here, and it’s not to be missed.
M.S.B. Somms & Vineyards has recently launched his project in the first Asian outpost of the esteemed London-based private member’s wine club, 67 Pall Mall. Located at Shaw Centre on Orchard Road, this 15,000 square feet penthouse has been beautifully refurbished and spans the entire 27th and 28th floors. With a wine collection of 5,000 bottles, including 1,000 available by the glass, 67 Pall Mall Singapore now boasts the biggest and most diverse wine list in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The club’s philosophy is to cater to the desires of its members, providing them with a diverse selection of both prestigious and obscure wines. Heading the wine team in Asia is Master of Wine (MW) Richard Hemming and Master Sommelier Roberto Duran who lead 15 sommeliers in Singapore and are the pioneers of the club’s all-inclusive approach in Singapore.
In addition to the impressive wine collection, 67 Pall Mall Singapore has recently launched the exclusive release of Miquel Sabrià’s wines, comprising six of the 12 D.O’s in the first collection, including a rosé, two whites and three reds. The second collection will feature the remaining six D.O’s in the future, including D.O. Alella, D.O. Pla de Bages, D.O. Costers del Segre, D.O. Tarragona, D.O. Catalunya and D.O. Cava.
The labels on these wines were painted by Singaporean artist Mary Bernadette Lee, who drew inspiration from her travels through Catalunya, and even included a personalized touch of Miquel in his favorite wine, M.S.B. Pur, the top wine in his collection elaborated in the iconic Qualified Designation of Origin Priorat.
Founder Grant Ashton started 67 Pall Mall in London back in 2015 as a way to share his extensive collection of wines with fellow enthusiasts. Fast forward to 2023 and the club has made its way to Singapore, taking up residence in the former private home of renowned philanthropist Runme Shaw. The interiors are adorned with art deco designs reminiscent of 1920s and 1930s Shanghai, and the windows and outdoor terrace offer breathtaking views of the bustling shopping district below.
So if you’re looking for a new wine experience in Singapore, head to 67 Pall Mall Singapore for a truly unique and extensive selection of wines in a stunning setting and don’t miss out to taste Miquel’s wines!
